The core reason for naming it silicone rubber X-rings is due to standard X shaped cross-section. It is a self-energized, double-acting seal that achieves sealing by means of contact stress on the sealing interface. When installed in grooves of various forms, its radial or axial pre-compression provides initial sealing capability. As the system pressure rises, the compression amount increases accordingly, and the contact stress grows simultaneously. Its cross-sectional shape enables uniform pressure transmission in all directions, and the superimposed sealing force increases with the rise of system pressure, thus achieving a reliable sealing effect.
